Some of the work done in the last month has included varnishing the track surface and barriers (Rustin's matt polyurethane), braiding (so much easier than tape) and securing the supports to the floor with construction adhesive. If we have to move it now we'll take the floor with us!
Building our track has taken over 8 months and it is fair to say there were times when it seemed it would never be finished but the dedication and application of a core of members has been exceptional. Which means their efforts will rewarded with not just a track to be proud of but their name on a bend or straight.
The "Role of Honour", in no particular order, is;
John Davis (the designer), Jim O'Sullivan, Neil Obee, Tom Garnham and his boys (hope the paint has washed out!), Stuart Manson, Stephen Moyes, Alan Humpreys, Gary and Nigel Harvey. Additional thanks to Jim's wife, Belinda (our landlady) for putting up with the disruption and swearing!
